What is your favorite part of waking up every morning?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 25, 2007:

With no alarms, I wake up naturally, with the songs of the birds just before dawn. This is the best time for meditation when all is quite and peaceful. Everything is still. The birds were created in Sufi mystic teaching to wake us for meditation. This time I claim for myself, my inner Self as the pure, timeless, breathless state of Being. Doing meditation of the breath sets up a vibrational resonance which is Radiance. Light and peace radiate within and without. The rest of the day follows this vibrational state. Then I step with my right foot forward, dedicating the day towards Positivity, Divinity, and allow it to unfold in this beautiful way. Peace & Light, Sulaiha

When was the last time you had an argument with someone?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for April 13, 2007:

This morning before my daily meditation, I had an mental argument with the people of America. I recently had a talk with some European friends of mine regarding the psychological, moral state of our union. Having living in France, understanding the European mentality, I know they have often asked of us, why are you not all doing something about these persisting situations in your country? Why do we work and consume and not have time to enjoy life? Why do we not speak up and act when government, business and the media do not represent our true values? When I think back to the Vietnam was which was so painful, so very painful, one of my French professors said, as we were stuying existentialism, "Il faut s'engager", one must engage oneself. And of course the idea that our only freedom comes with "CHOICE". So back then inspite of our verbal protests, the only means that was effective was to BOYCOTT all the corporation, business, etc. which suppported the war effort. I lost many a friend and relative over this, but when the protest came to the money and greed issue, it seemed to have a greater effect, and was the most succesful means available. This follows the passive resistace philosophy of all non-violent philosophers and activists. Detach from the money makers who fund and get rich as a result of the war, and unhealthy businesses, like the drug companies, violent media makers, unhealthy food providers. Boycott oil, gas, junk food chemicals and poisons, media, films, which glorify violence, guns, corporations associated with the war and the middle east. Make a lsit and avoid all these businesses. Philosophy must meet the marketplace in corporate America in order to be heard and elicit change, unfortunately. In the 60's, when the health food movement was new and slow in growing, it was when the economics of it was considered that it truly took root and spread to what is much more accepted today. I am very feminine mystic artist, and yet I see that the economic factor can transform ideas and the actions of those in power. Money speaks to them, when values do not. We need to create a week, or a month which speaks of our values, through our resisting those who resist peace and the truth. Just say no, resist, persist, and see that something will change for the benefit of all. Integrate this process with the positive aspect of the Law of Attraction, meditation, prayer, and some transformation with make itself very visible!
